Fly on the Wall is the eleventh studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC , released on 21 June 1985. It was the band's first album to feature guitarist Stevie Young, nephew of original guitarist and co-founder Malcolm Young. Fly on the Wall was also the first AC/DC album to be produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The album departed from the band's earlier work and featured a sound more inspired by funk and soul. The album was commercially successful, reaching number 6 on the US Billboard 200 and number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album's lead single, "Fly on the Wall", was a moderate success, reaching #21 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album's second single, "Shake Your Foundations", was more successful, reaching #15 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album Fly on the Wall is generally considered one of AC/DC's weaker albums . However, the album has been praised for its funk and soul inspired sound and has been cited as an influence on later funk metal bands.
