Alter Bridge have been known for blurring the lines between hard rock and heavy metal for over 15 years. Now the band returns with their sixth studio album, "Walk The Sky", which continues their critically and fan acclaimed sound worldwide. The fourteen tracks represent the creative peak of the quartet consisting of Myles Kennedy (vocals/guitar), Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums). "Walk The Sky" is like a career retrospective: the band takes elements from each of their previous albums to create something new. Alter Bridge took a new approach to the creation. Since the second album, "Blackbird" (2007), Kennedy and Tremonti, along with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskett, have combined individual ideas and riffs to create some of the band's most groundbreaking songs. "Walk The Sky", on the other hand, was created from Kennedy and Tremonti's complete ideas, which were then worked on by the entire band - a method that now has a decisive influence on the listening experience. From the opening "One Life" to the poignant finale "Dying Light", Alter Bridge have created an impressive addition to their musical catalogue. Songs like "Godspeed", "Native Son" and "Walking On The Sky" are sure to enhance the live set soon. In the first single "Wouldn't You Rather", Alter Bridge express their quintessence. In "Falling Forever", as in the Fortress classic "Waters Rising", Tremonti takes the lead vocals and Kennedy the chorus.
