Superlative After Ayreon released the live album "Electric Castle Live and Other Tales" in early 2020, the progressive metallers around Dutch musician Arjen Lucassen are now releasing a new studio record. "Transitus" is the title of the concept album, which this time does not move in the Ayreon universe. Instead, there's a gothic horror set in 1884. The main characters are named Abby and Daniel. As always, Lucassen will be supported by a host of top-notch guests, including former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, Epica's Simone Simons, Tommy Karevik of Kamelot, guitarist Marty Friedman and many more. The narrator was former Doctor Who actor Tom Baker. In addition to the double CD, "Transitus" is also available as a double LP on red vinyl with a gatefold sleeve. There is also a textbook with four CDs and a DVD. It comes with various special features, such as a 5.1 mix of the album and a 25-page comic by Chilean cartoonist Felix Vega, which is also included on the double LP. An exciting concept, an impressive guest list: in 2020, Ayreon once again delivers an album full of superlatives. Here's "Transitus".

Superlative Poté, co Ayreon na začátku roku 2020 vydali živé album "Electric Castle Live and Other Tales", vydávají nyní progresivní metalisté v čele s nizozemským hudebníkem Arjenem Lucassenem nové studiové album.

"Transitus" je název koncepčního alba, které se tentokrát neodehrává ve vesmíru Ayreon. Místo toho se jedná o gotický horor zasazený do roku 1884. Hlavními postavami jsou Abby a Daniel.

Lucassena jako vždy podpořila řada hostů vysokého kalibru, mezi nimiž nechybí bývalý frontman Twisted Sister Dee Snider, kytarový virtuóz Joe Satriani, Simone Simons z Epicy, Tommy Karevik z Kamelotu, kytarista Marty Friedman a mnoho dalších. Jako vypravěč vystoupil bývalý herec seriálu Doctor Who Tom Baker.

Kromě dvojcédéčka je "Transitus" k dispozici také jako dvojitá LP deska na červeném vinylu v gatefold obalu. K dispozici je také earbook se čtyřmi CD a DVD. To obsahuje různé speciality, jako je mix alba v 5.1 a 25stránkový komiks chilského ilustrátora Felixe Vegy, který je rovněž přiložen k dvojitému LP.

Vzrušující koncept, působivý seznam hostů: Ayreon v roce 2020 opět přináší superlativní album. Zde je "Transitus".
