Billy Talent is the eponymous debut album by Canadian rock band Billy Talent , released on July 8, 2003. The album was recorded at Metalworks Studios in Mississauga, Ontario. It was produced by Gavin Brown and mixed by Mike Fraser. The album spawned four singles: "Try Honesty", "The Ex", "River Below" and "Nothing to Lose". "Try Honesty" was the band's first single and was released in 2003. The song went to number one on the Canadian rock charts. "The Ex" was the band's second single and was released in 2004. The song reached number two on the Canadian rock charts. "River Below" was the group's third single and was released in 2004. The song reached number one on the Canadian rock charts. "Nothing to Lose" was the band's fourth and final single and was released in 2005. The song reached number two on the Canadian rock charts. The album went platinum in Canada in 2006. Billy Talent is a Canadian rock band from Mississauga, Ontario. The band consists of Benjamin Kowalewicz (vocals), Ian D'Sa (guitar), Jonathan Gallant (bass) and Aaron Solowoni.
