One Little Indian have released an album of remixes for the critically acclaimed 2011 album "Biophilia". Björk also worked with her sound engineer Curver Thoroddsen to isolate a specific chapter of Matthew Herbert's remix of "Sacrifice" on the album's Pins and Needles mix. The original Biophilia album was released in 2011 to a positive critical reception. The New York Times had this to say about it, "The new songs juxtapose the soaring textures of choir and organ with sparse pointillism and sudden bursts of breakbeat percussion, all against a backdrop of Björk's idiosyncratic melodies: pithy or drawn-out, stopping unexpectedly and then serpentine, rising and opening into banshee wailing."
