Los Angeles-based American band Black Eyed Peas release Masters of The Sun Vol. 1 on October 26. It features Nas, Phife Dawg, CL, Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Posdenuos of de la Soul, Slick Rick and Nicol Scherzinger. This is the seventh album, the release of which was heralded by the track Big Lovewhich was one of the first singles to reflect on the shootings in American high schools and address the issue of removing children from immigrant families. Proceeds from sales of the single went to the March for Our Lives, a student activist organization dedicated to ending the epidemic of mass school shootings, and Families Belong Together, an organization fighting Trump's policy of forcibly separating families. The Black Eyed Peas continue to challenge the status quo on the album, where they continue to address current issues facing Black communities such as gun control, immigration and prison reform, and police brutality. The Black Eyed Peas are a group that has dabbled in hip hop, pop, dance music and the electro genre throughout their existence. The band currently consists of will.i.ama, apl.de.apa and Tabooa. In the past, the band has also featured singer Fergie. The Black Eyed Peas are behind hits such as Where Is The Love?, which became the best-selling British single of 2003, and Pump It and with the singles Boom Boom Pow a I Gotta Feeling became one of only 11 bands at the time to reach the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. In 2010, they won three Grammy Awards.
