Innovative pop from Chvrches The band Chvrches has been around for seven years and has been working on its own electro-pop sound for seven years. With 'Love Is Dead', the Scottish trio present their third studio album in 2018, the follow-up to 2015's 'Every Open Eye', which by their own admission is Chvrches' most popular release to date. The first two singles, "Get Out" and "My Enemy", which Lauren Mayberry (vocals, synth), Iain Cook (synth, guitar, bass, vocals) and Martin Doherty (synth, sampler, vocals) recorded with The National frontman Matt Berninger, only confirm this. In addition, Chvrches collaborated on "Love Is Dead" with producer Greg Kurstin, who has worked on pop darlings SIA and Adele, among others. "Love Is Dead" is available on CD and LP. Love Is Dead is the third studio album by Scottish synthpop band Chvrches , released on 25 May 2018 via Glassnote Records. The album was produced by Greg Kurstin and was preceded by the singles "Get Out", "My Enemy" and "Never Say Die". The album received mostly positive reviews from music critics, who praised the band's new direction and songwriting. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, making it the band's first album to reach number one.
