Crypta, která čerstvě podepsala smlouvu s Napalm Records, nabízí zběsilé zvukové monstrum o třídu výš: nově vzniklá brazilsko-holandská deathmetalová jednotka, složená výhradně z žen, způsobí svým dlouho očekávaným debutem Echoes of the Soul na scéně pořádný rozruch.

Čtyřčlennou sestavu, která vznikla v červnu 2019, tvoří zpěvačka a baskytaristka Fernanda Lira a kytaristka Luana Dametto (obě bývalé členky thrashmetalové formace Nervosa), dále mimořádně talentovaná kytaristka Sonia Anubis (Cobra Spell, ex-Burning Witches) a Tainá Bergamschi na bicí (ex-Hagbard). Tyto čtyři energické ženy už nejsou na scéně žádnými nováčky a obohacují Cryptu o bohaté zkušenosti z předchozích i současných projektů. Nová deska dává nahlédnout do pevně sešněrovaného zvukového korzetu a nechává vyniknout stručným prvkům thrashe a black metalu.

Echoes of the Soul se nahrávalo v lednu 2021 v brazilském studiu Family Mob Studio, mixoval Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Powertrip atd.) a masteroval Jens Bogren (Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura atd.). Obal navrhl Wes Benscoter, který je mezinárodně známý svými úžasnými obaly pro kapely jako Slayer, Kreator, Black Sabbath a mnoho dalších.
