The album "Data de Groove" was released in May 1990 and was again the result of major changes in Falco's life and lifestyle, including a divorce from his wife Isabella and a six-month trip around the world. The album, released after his return, was a collaboration with Robert Ponger, producer of Falco's first two albums and writer of his first big hit "Der Kommissar". The two also returned to their tried-and-true approach to songwriting: Ponger wrote the music, while Falco took care of the lyrics. The album has often been described as a concept album about the computer age, but on closer inspection, the theme of sex runs through all the songs. The official singles released were "Data De Groove" and "Charisma Kommando". All of the mixes made at the time (including full versions of four tracks that were only available on the first CD release) are included on CD2 of this deluxe edition. The mix of "Charisma Kommando" is available on CD for the first time. "Data de Groove" is considered complex and intellectual - many fans consider it one of Falco's most authentic works.

Album "Data de Groove" vyšlo v květnu 1990 a bylo opět výsledkem zásadních změn ve Falcově životě a životním stylu, včetně rozvodu s manželkou Isabellou a půlroční cesty kolem světa. Album, které vyšlo po jeho návratu, vzniklo ve spolupráci s Robertem Pongerem, producentem Falcových prvních dvou alb a autorem jeho prvního velkého hitu "Der Kommissar". Oba se také vrátili ke svému osvědčenému přístupu k tvorbě písní: Ponger napsal hudbu, zatímco Falco se postaral o texty. Deska byla často popisována jako koncepční album o počítačovém věku, ale při bližším pohledu se téma sexu prolíná všemi skladbami.
