In the pantheon of blues rock, there has never been a band that has shone so brightly, been more commercially successful and made so much great music in a relatively short period of time as Free. Their best known song is probably 1970's "All Right Now," but their catalog is rich and deep, which is surprising given their relatively short career. Free broke up in 1973 and lead singer Paul Rodgers joined Simon Kirk on drums to become the frontman of Bad Company. Fortunately, Paul Kossoff's guitar playing and Free's majestic, proud and soulful music live on. They left behind seven albums, four of which made the UK Top 10.
