It is the first album with singer Rob Halford since 1990's Painkiller and the first album with guitarist K. K. Downing since 2002's Demolition. The album was produced by Roy Z, who had previously worked with Halford on his two solo albums. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. It was also the band's first album to reach number one in the UK charts. The album's title track was released as a single in February 2004 and reached number 27 in the UK Singles Chart. The second single, "Revolution", was released in May 2004 and reached number 43 in the UK Singles Chart. On 9 September 2004, the album was certified gold by the RIAA.
