Judas Priest are one of the most influential bands in the heavy metal scene. Over the course of their long career, the band has repeatedly managed to stir things up both musically with their powerful guitar sound and distinctive screaming vocals, and visually with their studs and leather. Now "Single Cuts" is a compilation of all 19 A-side singles released by Sony Music or the original CBS label. The British band formed in the early 1970s. The release of "British Steel" (1980) led to their big international breakthrough. Today, "British Steel" is a classic of the genre. With this album, Judas Priest became the protagonists of the "New Wave Of British Heavy Metal" movement. They subsequently achieved further success with the albums "Screaming For Vengeance", "Defenders Of The Faith" and "Painkiller". Despite the temporary departure of singer Rob Halford in the 90s (comeback in 2004) and the surprising departure of guitarist K. K. Downing in April 2011, the band coped with these cuts. Judas Priest, with new guitarist Richie Faulkner, are garnering top-notch reviews for their stage presence on the current Epitaph label world tour. The new CD "Single Cuts" features 19 singles released between 1977 and 1992. Among them, of course, all the classics such as "Breaking The Law", "United", "Living After Midnight", "Painkiller" and "You've Got Another Thing Coming".
