Turbo is the sixteenth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest , released on 14 April 1986. It is the band's first album to feature the dual guitar solo sound of drummer Dave Holland and guitarist K. K. Downing. The album was produced by Tom Allom and mixed by Chris Tsangarides. The album was commercially successful, reaching number 17 on the Billboard 200 and number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. On 26 June 1986, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping one million copies in the United States. The album's lead single, "Turbo Lover", charted at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. The second single from the album, "Locked In", reached No. 101 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was well received by music critics. AllMusic reviewer Eduardo Rivadavia awarded the album four stars out of five, calling it "an album that not only met the incredibly high standards Judas Priest had set in the past, but in many ways surpassed them". Turbo is often considered one of the band's best albums
