V roce 1967, kdy vyšlo, nebylo komerčně příliš úspěšné, ale album "Forever Changes" je dodnes považováno za jedno z nejlepších alb 60. let. Mnozí kritici toto album dodnes oslavují. Není proto divu, že americký časopis Rolling Stone zvolil album na 40. místě v žebříčku 500 nejlepších alb všech dob.
Třetí album west coastové legendy Love se pravidelně objevuje v žebříčcích nejlepších alb kritiků, například na 40. místě v žebříčku 500 nejlepších alb všech dob amerického časopisu Rolling Stone.
Frontman Arthur Lee zemřel příliš brzy na leukémii v Memphisu v srpnu 2006 a toto album je jeho velkým odkazem.
Ještě předtím se frontman skupiny Led Zeppelin a její zarytý fanoušek Robert Plant ujal uspořádání velkého benefičního koncertu v New Yorku, aby získal peníze na notoricky známé vysoké náklady nemocnic v USA. Z hudebního hlediska se tento muž stal skutečně nesmrtelným až po své smrti; například toto album bylo do "Grammy Hall Of Fame" uvedeno až posmrtně.
