Fully analogue cuts of m b v will also be available for the first time ever on deluxe and standard LPs. my bloody valentine, the quartet of Bilinda Butcher, Kevin Shields, Deb Googe and Colm Ó Cíosóig, is widely acknowledged as one of the most groundbreaking and influential groups of the last forty years. At a time when guitar bands were at best marked by retro-classicism, My Bloody Valentine not only sounded different from all their contemporaries, but the band managed the rare feat of sounding like the future. My Bloody Valentine's second album, Loveless, was released in 1991. Musically, it was an unexpected leap forward that surpassed anything else released at the time. Shields and the band moved further towards music of pure feeling, creating textures and tones that could be felt as much as heard; with Loveless they created a band that overwhelmed the senses. loveless is widely regarded as a flawless entity and is rightly considered a masterpiece; the equivalent of Pet Sounds, In A Silent Way or 1990's Innervisions, a record created by pushing the boundaries of what the recording studio was capable of.
