In 1987, the Pet Shop Boys released their second album Actually, which also became a big hit for the duo and immediately after its release reached number two in the UK and German charts. The production was co-produced by Julian Mendelsohn, Stephen Hague, Shep Pettibone, Andy Richards and the Pet Shop Boys. By this stage, the Pet Shop Boys had achieved new success, not only commercially, but also in the eyes of critics, who enthusiastically embraced the duo with the three singles It's A Sin, Always On My Mind and What Have I Done To Deserve This, which they recorded with Dusty Springfield. Neil Tennant writes: "I felt at the time that we had discovered the secret of contemporary pop music, that we knew exactly what we needed." The catalog reissue of Actually features the remastered original album on vinyl and CD, and bonus material on Further Listening, including a mix of Shep Pettibone's Heart, demo versions and alternate mixes of One More Chance and Always On My Mind, among others.
