The swans are back. With the album "Leaving Meaning" the band will release a new album in 2019. Some things have changed since the previous album "The Glowing Man" (2016). In fact, Michael Gira announced some time ago the end of the permanent line-up of his band that existed in recent years. In the future, the members will rotate. And so "Leaving Meaning" will feature many new guest musicians, including members of Gira's alternative project Angels Of Light, Thor Harris, Norman Westberg, Ben Frost, The Necks, Baby Dee and Jennifer Gira. Also on board are folk singers Anna and Maria von Hausswolff, who can be heard on the first single "It's Coming It's Real". And it shows: even without a permanent crew, Micheal Gira and Swans present an experimental masterpiece in 2019. Here's "Leaving Meaning."

Leaving Meaning is the fourteenth studio album by American experimental rock band Swans.It was released on January 25, 2019 via Young God Records. The album was recorded between October and December 2018 at John Congleton's studio in Dallas, Texas. It is the first Swans album , featuring drummer Thor Harris since he rejoined the band in 2016.
