Debut na picture disc Na začátku roku 2022 se fanoušci Uriah Heep mohou těšit na reedici debutového alba "Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble" v limitované edici na picture disc.

Album původně vyšlo 19. června 1970 u vydavatelství Vertigo Records ve Velké Británii. V USA vyšlo až v srpnu téhož roku, i když s jiným obalem.

Na albu "Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble" se Uriah Heep ještě nehlásí k žádnému žánru. Namísto hard rocku, kterým se proslavili na pozdějších albech, skupina experimentovala s různými styly, od heavy metalu až po progresivní rock.

A přestože album nedosáhlo v domovské Británii na první příčky hitparád, znamenalo začátek jejich kariéry. V Německu se dostalo na 22. místo, zatímco americká verze dosáhla 186. místa v Billboard 200.

Nová ilustrovaná deska ukazuje původní obal "Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble" s frontmanem Davidem Byronem, který je pod pavučinami téměř k nepoznání.

PS: Kromě "Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble" vyjde v lednu 2022 v limitované edici obrazový disk také "Salisbury", druhé album Uriah Heep.

Uriah Heep are one of the most successful hard rock bands in history. Their success story began in 1970 with their debut "...Very 'Eavy...Very 'Umble", which is now available in a reissue on LP. The reissue features a Gatefold cover and 180g vinyl. On their debut, Uriah Heep come across as much more bluesy than the band's later sound would suggest. Despite this blues influence, "...Very 'Eavy...Very 'Umble" already shows the direction the band would take in the future. Furthermore, the album is considered a classic of early hard rock and laid the foundation for the British band's career, which continues to this day. The process of creating the album was not easy, as there were personnel changes during the recording process.
