To mark the anniversary, the folk legend has re-recorded the album in its entirety. "Tea For The Tillerman 2" was recorded last year in the south of France. Yusuf was assisted by producer Paul Samwell-Smith and guitarist Alun Davies, who had already worked on the original album, as well as bassist Bruce Lynch, guitarist Eric Appapoulay, keyboardist Peter Vettese, drummer Kwame Yeboah and guitarist Jim Cregan. Together they breathed new life into hits like "Wild World", "Father And Son" and "Miles From Nowhere". The first harbinger of "Tea for Tillerman 2" could already be heard in the new version of "Where Do the Children Play?". A classic in a new guise, an exciting take on the songs of Cat Stevens: here is "Tea For The Tillerman 2".

Tea For The Tillerman² is the fifteenth studio album by Yusuf Islam , released on 17 January 2020. The album was praised by music critics for its simple and folk-inspired songwriting. Islam has stated that the album is about "the journey of the human soul".
